Role Overview: The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the quarry, ensuring smooth production, safety compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of materials. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to manage teams while driving process improvements and maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including production planning, extraction, and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor production targets, budgets, and cost efficiency to optimize profitability.
• Lead and manage the workforce, contractors, and vendors, ensuring productivity and engagement.
• Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quarry operations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as sales, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain equipment utilization and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Track and report operational performance metrics to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production methods, quality standards, and resource utilization.
• Handle crisis management during adverse weather conditions, machinery breakdowns, or unforeseen operational challenges.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of operations, processes, and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and contractors.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in operational software/tools and reporting systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
