Job summary

Aditya Birla Insulators in Tamil Nadu seeks a Quality Assurance professional to ensure SOPs are followed across procurement, production and contract shipment, and to uphold the defined quality standards.

You will lead quality inspections, coordinate with product development and sourcing teams, conduct audits, train vendor staff, monitor material arrival and line plans, and drive continuous improvement to reduce delays.

Responsibilities

• Quality inspection - Achieve quality standards for development and introduction of new styles and product lines
• Collaborate with product development and sourcing teams to ensure that all standards of fabric quality, texture, colour, design and all other required parameters are conveyed to the vendor(s) management and quality team at the pre-production meet
• Develop and monitor the raw material arrival schedule, line plan, cutting plan, machine skill training plan for each style and shipment dates
• Conduct frequent quality audits, in-line inspections, maintain a record of observations/issues, and steps taken to resolve the issues
• Conduct trainings to enhance quality awareness among vendor(s) staff
• Be a leader, and role model for the staff, observe strict protocols and develop an understanding about the significance of diligently following standard operating procedures and quality assurance guidelines
• Maintain a record of al communications with the vendor(s) and keep the internal team manager informed about possibilities of delay and attempts to minimise it

To enable the creation of a positive image about the quality of products offered by the brand by ensuring that standard operating procedures are followed throughout the processes from the procurement of raw materials to production and contract shipment and ensure that the required quality Standards are achieved.
