Job summary

SP Pipe Pvt Ltd in India seeks a Quality Assurance professional to establish and maintain robust quality systems across incoming, in-process and final inspections. You will educate teams on quality requirements, audit suppliers, and drive corrective actions to reduce defects and customer complaints.

Responsibilities

• Create systems and processes to ensure product quality including incoming, in-process, final/firewall quality plans and PPAP requirements
• Educate production and quality personnel on product, process and system quality requirements
• Support Purchase dept. to identify suppliers by conducting audits and corrective actions
• Review incoming materials acceptance status and improve part quality from suppliers and subcontractors
• Raise/approve debit notes for inspection outcomes
• Ensure setup approvals, first off and last off inspection before production
• Review in-process inspection reports and act to improve processes with Production, Maintenance and NPD
• Ensure core testing like leak tests are performed by inspectors
• Review final/firewall inspection reports to improve process and quality
• Display X-Bar/R charts to communicate quality system effectiveness
• Review customer end PPM, RMN, CPI daily and take corrective actions
• Address customer quality concerns to ensure customer delight
• Use 8D methodology to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Ensure corrective actions are mistake-proof and review QA systems for effectiveness
• Identify measuring/monitoring devices and ensure their maintenance and calibration
• Review data on rework/repair/rejections and account for them daily
• Take corrective actions to reduce rework, repair and rejections
• Review Cost of Poor Quality daily and act to reduce it
• Control non-conforming products/parts disposition and avoid mixing with accepted parts
• Ensure identification and traceability of products/parts throughout the process
• Promote continual improvement across the process
• Participate in daily line meetings providing input to improve product and process quality
• Create awareness among employees about customer concerns
• Focus on Quality KPI and drive actions to achieve them
• Update Management Information System daily and report to top Management
• Prepare monthly Management Review presentations for top management
• Update Quality In-charge checklist daily

Job description

Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities :

• Create systems and processes to ensure product quality. These include in-coming, in process, Final / firewall quality plans, customer end quality inputs, PPAP requirements, etc.,
• Educate production and quality personnel on all the product, process, and system Quality requirements
• Support Purchase departments to identify the right suppliers by conducting audit and providing necessary supplier improvement corrective actions
• Review incoming materials acceptance status and take necessary actions to improve parts quality received from the suppliers and subcontractors
• Raise / Approve debit notes wherever applicable in terms of in-coming, in process and final inspection outcomes
• Ensure setup approvals done for all the processes before start of production. First off and last off inspection to be ensured
• Review in process inspection reports and take necessary actions to improve the process in coordination with Production, Maintenance and NPD team
• Ensure core testing requirements like leak test is done for all the products by the respective inspectors
• Review Final / Firewall inspection reports and take necessary actions to improve the process and product quality
• Display trend charts / X-Bar - R charts / P Charts to communicate the effectiveness of the quality systems
• Review customer end PPM, RMN, CPI, etc., on daily basis and take necessary corrective actions to improve the same
• Address customer quality concerns then and there so that customer delight is ensured
• Wherever applicable, use systematic problem-solving approaches such as 8D methodology to involve people to identify the root causes and implementing the right corrective actions
• Ensure the corrective actions implemented are mistake proof. Review all the mistake proof systems applied periodically and ensure their effectiveness
• Identify all the Measuring and Monitoring devices required to ensure product and process quality. The maintenance and calibration of these devices to be ensured
• Review data on process rework, repair, and rejections. Ensure rework, repair and rejections are properly accounted. Evaluate the same on daily basis.
• Take necessary corrective actions to reduce rework, repair, and rejections
• Review Cost of Poor Quality on daily basis and take necessary actions to reduce the same
• Have control on Non-conforming products / parts disposition. Ensure these parts are not mixed up with accepted parts.
• Ensure necessary identification and traceability of the products / parts is practiced throughout the process
• Promote continual improvement throughout the process.
• Participate in daily line meetings and provide necessary input to improve the product and process quality
• Create awareness among all the employees about all the customer concerns
• Focus on Quality department Key Performance Indicators and take actions towards achieving the same
• Update Management Information System on daily basis and send to top Management for review
• Prepare monthly Management Review Meeting presentations and update the top management
• Update Quality In charge checklist on daily basis
