Job summary

Atharv Apparels in Kolkata seeks a Quality Assurance professional to audit inward fabric and trims, evaluate proto samples, and ensure products meet buyer quality standards throughout sewing, finishing, and packaging.

You will lead QA activities on the floor, coordinate with design and CAD teams, conduct pre-production and inline inspections, prepare audit reports, and drive continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Ensure no faulty fabric is sent for cutting and report defects.

• Evaluate proto, fit, PP samples and ensure production friendliness.
• Coordinate with designers and CAD teams; provide production support and approvals.
• Produce specifications and production instructions; assess materials and faults.
• Lead QA team, provide training, and drive quality improvements.
• Conduct pre-production, inline, and final inspections across sewing and finishing.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor quality parameters as requested by the client, Check fabric physical inspection to ensure the parameters Fab-Shades, Gsm, Shrinkage, Dyes defects, etc, Trims & Embellishment testing.
• Evaluating the Proto, Fit, and PP Sample and their manufacturing process, making sure it should be production friendly and making sure the sample follows the quality standard as per buyer requirements. Evaluating new clothing designs & Styling.
• Interacting with Designers team and CAD
• Production support, review, evaluation, and approval
• Producing specifications and production instructions
• Identifying suitable materials and accessories, Analyzing product returns and faults.
• Costing and budget management of the quality team.
• Ensure Technical specification Garment Construction
• General Quality Parameters in Sewing/Finishing/Cutting Garments. Manage Qa team & motivate, training to achieve results.
• Quality monitoring on machines as well as finishing the compliance audit.
• Coordination and push factories to get Fittings, Initials, Inline, and Midline & Final on time.
• Determining, negotiating, and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications
• Assessing buyer requirements and ensuring that these are met online product
• Setting quality as client standards
• Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
• Investigating and setting standards for quality improvement
• Ensuring that manufacturing processes meet standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Auditing inward fabric and trims and ensuring only quality goods are accepted.
2. Involvement in product development and sampling stage and take care of quality aspects of samples.
3. Ensure that no faulty fabric is sent for cutting. If minor fault are present in the fabric, defects should be marked on the fabric and same thing must be communicated to cutting department.
4. Preparing audit report of the fabric and trims quality.
5. Conducting pre-production meeting before production start.
6. Perform in-line inspection and end-of-line inspection in sewing floor.
7. Perform inline inspection, pre-final audit and final inspection in finishing department.
8. Audit of the packed goods prior to offering shipment to buyer QA.
9. Responsible for analysis quality reports and prepare improvement plan.
10. Ensuring the right quality of the outward garment by conducting quality audits in manufacturing process.
