Abdos Lamitubes in India seeks a Costing & MIS specialist to manage product costing, standard costing and variances, while preparing MIS reports and supporting monthly close processes. The role requires strong Excel, ERP/SAP familiarity and experience in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will analyse costs, support budgets, and drive profitability through detailed reporting and data-driven insights for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• CA or CMA with 5–8 years in costing and MIS.
• Experience in costing, standard costing and variance analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and data analysis; exposure to BI tools is preferred.
• ERP/SAP knowledge in product costing and inventory valuation is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accurate product costs, standard costs and cost sheets for existing and new products.
• Support monthly cost roll-ups and update cost components in the ERP system.
• Analyse actual costs against standards and budgets including variances.
• Prepare MIS covering sales, profitability and operating indicators.
• Assist in monthly closing through inventory valuation and variance analyses.
• Monitor inventory and highlight ageing/slow-moving items; reconcile book vs physical stocks.
• Assist in budgets, forecasts and long-range planning.
• Provide profitability analysis by product/customer/segment and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure master data for costing, BOMs, routings and cost centres is accurate in coordination with process owners.
• Track capex budget and prepare variance reports; support RFAs with financial analysis.
• Provide costing schedules and supporting docs for audits and reporting automation initiatives.

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain accurate product costs, standard costs and cost sheets for existing products, new products and customer quotations.
• Support monthly cost roll-ups and update material, labour, machine, overhead and other cost components in the ERP system.
• Analyse actual costs against standards and budgets, including material price, usage, labour, overhead, efficiency and yield variances.
• Prepare and circulate periodic MIS covering sales, contribution, profitability, costs, inventory, productivity and key operating indicators.
• Support the monthly closing process through inventory valuation, production variance analysis, provisions, reconciliations and timely submission of costing schedules.
• Monitor raw material, work-in-progress and finished goods inventory, identify ageing or slow-moving items and support reconciliation of book and physical stocks.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long-range plans, including cost assumptions, volume scenarios and departmental inputs.
• Prepare product, customer and segment profitability analysis and highlight adverse trends, margin leakages and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure master data relevant to costing and reporting, including bills of material, routings, work centres and cost centres, is complete and accurate in coordination with process owners.
• Monitor the capital expenditure budget, track actual and committed spend against approved budgets, prepare periodic variance reports, and coordinate the preparation and submission of Requests for Approval (RFAs) with complete financial analysis and supporting documentation.
• Provide costing schedules and supporting documentation for internal and statutory audits and contribute to process improvement and reporting automation initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA, CMA with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in costing and MIS.
• Practical knowledge of product costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, cost allocation and variance analysis.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical ability with experience in preparing management reports, dashboards and profitability analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis and report automation; exposure to Power BI will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled tools and the ability to efficiently handle, analyse and interpret large volumes of data.
• Working knowledge of ERP / SAP, particularly product costing, material ledger, inventory and controlling processes, will be preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with finance and cross-functional plant teams.
• High attention to detail, ownership of deliverables and ability to meet demanding reporting timelines.
