Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a seasoned cost accounting professional in Mumbai to lead product costing, overhead analysis, and margin reviews. You will drive variance analysis, inventory valuation, and cost-control initiatives, coordinating with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Preference given to ICWA/CMA qualified professionals with 4–8 years in manufacturing/EPC, strong SAP CO expertise, and advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and decision support.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee product costing, including preparation and review of detailed cost sheets and estimates.
• Drive overhead analysis and allocation, identifying key cost drivers and recommending cost optimization strategies.
• Monitor and analyze customer-wise and order-wise contribution margins on a monthly basis.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis between budgeted and actual expenses, highlighting key insights and corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate and timely inventory valuation in compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage and ensure adherence to cost audit compliances, including coordination with auditors and timely submission of reports.
• Utilize SAP (CO Module) for cost tracking, reporting, and decision-making support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Sales, Procurement) to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and implement cost control measures and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified ICWA / CMA (Mandatory)
• 4 – 8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing / EPC industry
• Strong expertise in product costing, budgeting, and variance analysis
