Job summary

Vrkp Group is seeking an experienced cost accountant/analyst to join our finance team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on costing for raw materials, labour and overheads, with responsibilities spanning MIS, budgeting and data-driven profitability improvements.

You will enhance cost control processes, manage periodical cost reporting and support audits. Candidates should have CMA Inter/CA Inter or MBA with 10+ years post-qualification experience in plant costing, preferably in steel manufacturing,

Qualifications

• CMA Inter /CA Inter / MBA qualification.
• 10+ years post-qualification experience in Plant Costing & MIS in manufacturing.
• Steel manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle or Lighthouse ERP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost control processes and methodologies enhancement.
• Develop and maintain costing system for raw materials, labour and overheads.
• Maintain cost records and cost audit support.
• Prepare daily/monthly periodical cost reports including variance analysis.
• Provide data for budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis; participate in monthly budgeting.
• Monitor ERP entries for production and material consumption; generate MIS data for management.
• Prepare financial reports highlighting KPIs, trends and operational insights.
• Strengthen ERP processes, master data, new modules and reporting accuracy.
• Analyze financial data to drive cost control initiatives and profitability.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in Continuously assess and improve cost control processes and methodologies
• Participation in develop and maintain the costing system for raw materials, labour, and overhead costs etc.,
• Assisting in maintaining the cost records and cost audit.
• Prepare and present daily/monthly/periodical cost reports, including cost variance analysis, margin reports, and product costing.
• Provide cost data for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Participation in Monthly/periodical budget preparation.
• Daily monitoring the Production and material consumption entries in the ERP and arranging the various MIS reports/data to management/HO.
• Preparation of periodical financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and operational insights. Actual Vs Plan Variance analysis.
• Participating in strengthening the ERP Processes, masters data, new modules implementation, reports etc., and maintaining the accuracy in accounts and various ERP reports.
• Analyse financial data to provide recommendations on improving financial performance, cost management, and profitability. Drive cost control initiatives by analysing cost structures and identifying areas for improvement.

Education & Experiences:

• CMA Inter /CA Inter/ MBA
• Experience: Minimum of 10 + years of post-qualification experience in Plant Costing & MIS or similar roles, preferably in the manufacturing sector (experience in steel manufacturing is a plus).
• Experience in SAP or Oracle Or Lighthouse ERP
