Harvas Management Solutions in Mumbai seeks a seasoned procurement professional to manage coal and petcoke sourcing from domestic, import, refinery, and open-market channels. You will evaluate offers, coordinate with suppliers and refineries, and drive tendering, PO placement, and procurement planning.

The role requires 4+ years in fuel procurement or commercial management, with exposure to imported logistics and contract management. Knowledge of SAP/RAMCO is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in fuel procurement, strategic sourcing, imports, or commercial management.
• Experience in cement, power, steel, or other energy-intensive industries preferred.
• Exposure to coal/petcoke procurement, import logistics, and customs clearance desirable.
• Strong skills in supplier negotiations, commercial evaluation, contract management, and cost optimisation.
• Experience in SAP/RAMCO; exposure to renewable energy procurement will be an added advantage.

Responsabilités

• Manage procurement of coal and petcoke through domestic linkages, e-auctions, imports, refineries, and open-market channels.
• Evaluate commercial offers based on landed cost, calorific value, quality, logistics, and applicable taxes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, Coal India subsidiaries, refineries, and traders for procurement, negotiations, allocations, and deliveries.
• Support tendering, bid evaluations, purchase order placement, and procurement planning.
• Monitor fuel supply agreements, contractual obligations, delivery schedules, and quality and quantity commitments.
• Coordinate end-to-end fuel imports, including shipment planning, documentation, logistics, port operations, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage coordination with shipping agents, CHAs, transporters, and internal teams for LC opening, import payments, Bill of Entry filing and timely material delivery.
• Monitor import costs, demurrage, logistics expenses, and resolve shipment discrepancies and quality/quantity claims.
• Draft, review, and administer commercial agreements, purchase orders, work orders, and other contracts in coordination with all stakeholders.
• Monitor contractual obligations, bank guarantees, claims, penalties, liquidated damages, payments, refunds, and release of securities.
• Coordinate contract amendments, renewals, dispute resolution, and closure of outstanding commercial matters.
• Prepare landed-cost analyses, commercial evaluations, cost models, and periodic MIS reports.
• Track procurement savings, budget variances, supplier performance, and key commercial indicators.
• Ensure effective coordination with Finance, Legal, Logistics, Operations, and other stakeholders for timely execution of procurement and commercial activities.
