Responsabilités

  • Contract Execution and Management across commercial terms and timelines.
  • Track and ensure timely release of Delivery Orders (DOs) after document clearance.
  • Manage quality-related settlements per contract terms and quality assessments.
  • Ensure proper and timely closure of contracts on completion.
  • Evaluate and approve contract terms relating to pricing, quantity, quality, payment terms, delivery, penalties, and force majeure.
  • Identify risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Incoterms and international trade regulations.
  • Handle deviations, amendments, claims, disputes, arbitration, and closures.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Finance for governance and compliance.
  • Timely collection of cargo value from credit customers as per terms.
  • Collect plot rent and interest charges per contractual agreements.
  • Collect quality-related premium and penalty payments.
  • Revenue assurance as per contract terms and conditions.
  • Facilitate timely contract execution, payment collection, and document sharing for shipments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of invoices and debit notes, handle grievances and refunds.
  • Coordinate with third parties for contract execution, payment collection, laytime settlement, and closures.
  • Address customer grievances and inquiries, prioritizing satisfaction.
  • Oversee timely delivery of invoices and debit notes to customers.
  • Manage receivables, collections and working capital within agreed credit terms.
  • Monitor debtor aging, credit utilization and overdue accounts.
  • Ensure timely collection of cargo value, premiums, penalties, interest, and logistics recoveries.
  • Strengthen commercial controls to prevent revenue leakage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Drive service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional commercial teams.
  • Facilitate timely signing of contracts, collection of payments, and sharing of documents for shipment.
  • Oversee vessel discharge and customs clearance for smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with third parties for contract signing, payment collection, laytime settlement, and closures.
  • Ensure adherence to standard contract terms, deviation controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and internal controls.
  • Manage third-party transportation coordination and customer account reconciliation.
  • Review MIS reporting as applicable.
  • Coordinate with vessel agents and charter for discharge and clearance.
  • Supervise and support team to achieve operational goals.

Formation

Bachelor's degree in commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or related discipline
MBA / PGDM (Finance, Operations, International Business) preferred
Additional certifications in Trade Finance, International Trade, Commercial Management, or Contract Management will be preferred

Associate Manager - Commercial Responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Contract Execution and Management - Handle and manage contracts in an effective and timely manner
  • Track and ensure the timely release of DOs (Delivery Orders) upon clearance of all required documents and resolution of outstanding issues
  • Manage quality-related settlements in accordance with contract terms and quality assessments
  • Ensure proper and timely closure of contracts upon completion.
  • Evaluate and approve contract terms relating to pricing, quantity, quality specifications, payment terms, delivery conditions, penalties, and force majeure provisions.
  • Identify commercial, contractual, legal, and operational risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Incoterms, international trade regulations, and corporate contracting standards.
  • Manage contract deviations, amendments, claims, disputes, arbitration matters, and contract closures.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams for contract governance and compliance.
Collections and Payments
  • Manage timely collection of cargo value from credit customers as per contractual terms
  • Ensure the collection of plot rent and interest charges in alignment with contractual agreements
  • Manage the collection of quality-related premium and penalty payments
  • Ensure Revenue Assurance as per the contractual terms and conditions
Commercial Operations
  • Facilitate the timely execution of contracts, collection of payments, and sharing of relevant documents for successful shipment execution
  • Manage and ensure timely delivery of invoices and debit notes, handle customer grievances, and process refunds as per contractual agreements
  • Coordinate with third parties for contract execution, payment collection, laytime settlement, and contract closures
  • Address customer grievances, inquiries, escalations and requests prioritizing customer satisfaction
  • Oversee and ensure prompt delivery of invoices and debit notes to customers
  • Receivables, Collections & Working Capital Management Drive collection of customer receivables within agreed credit terms.
  • Monitor exposure limits, debtor aging, credit utilization, and overdue accounts.
  • Ensure timely collection of cargo value, premiums, penalties, interest charges, and logistics-related recoveries.
  • Strengthening commercial controls to prevent revenue leakage and financial exposure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and strategic stakeholders.
  • Drive service excellence and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional commercial teams.
Shipment Execution and Third-Party Coordination
  • Facilitate the timely signing of contracts, collection of payments, and sharing of relevant documents for shipment
  • Oversee vessel discharge and customs clearance for smooth operations
  • Collaborate with third parties for contract signing, payment collection, laytime settlement, and contract closures
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard contract terms, deviation controls,
  • Ensure statutory compliances and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
Other Activities
  • Manage third-party transportation coordination and customer account reconciliation
  • Ensure accounting-related tasks, such as ledger clearing, provisions, LC clearing, book hygiene, cargo ageing management, inventory control, short closures, DO re-validations, port book reconciliation.
  • Review management information system (MIS) reporting as applicable.
  • Coordinate with vessel agents and charter of the vessel for smooth discharge of cargo and custom clearance
  • Supervise and support team to achieve operational goal

Qualifications
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or related discipline.
  • MBA / PGDM (Finance, Operations, International Business) preferred.
  • Additional certifications in Trade Finance, International Trade, Commercial Management, or Contract Management will be preferred.
  • Experience 8+ years of experience in Coal Trading, Commodities Trading, Mining, Energy, Metals, or Bulk Cargo industries. Proven experience in managing large-value domestic and international trading transactions. Extensive exposure to commercial operations, contract management, LC operations, trade finance, documentation, logistics, and regulatory compliance. Experience handling multiple stakeholders including customers, suppliers, banks, legal teams, shipping lines, customs authorities, and government agencies.
