Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Procurement professional to manage the production store area for deburring and metal finishing equipment suppliers. The role focuses on supplier development, purchase orders, and cost optimization within an industrial production setting.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of procurement experience, strong MS Excel and design drawing skills, and able to collaborate with production and design teams to ensure precise specifications and favorable terms.

Responsibilities

• Procurement activities to execute production on time.
• Develop profitable supplier partnerships through Vendor Development.
• Create purchase orders for all items including vendor-developed and brought-out items.
• Negotiate favorable terms with external vendors.
• Approve ordering of necessary goods and services.
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
• Examine and test existing contracts.
• Use MS Excel and ERP to input data into the system.
• Track and report key metrics to reduce costs and improve effectiveness.
• Collaborate with production and design to ensure clear specifications and expectations.
• Forecast alterations in supplier/client negotiating dynamics.
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
• Control spend and build long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Job Purpose:

The candidate shall be responsible for Managing production store area for Deburring and Metal finishing abrasive brushing machine manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for:

1. Procurement activities to perform to execute production activity in time.
2. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships through Vendor Development.
3. Purchase order making for all purchases. I.e. vendor developed items, brought-out items etc.
4. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
5. Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
6. Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
7. Examine and test existing contracts.
8. Use of MS office (MS excel) / Company ERP to take all data in to system.
9. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
10. Collaborate with key persons in production / Design to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
11. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
12. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
13. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
14. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
15. Need to perform any additional task given by management time to time
