Job summary

Vesat Management is seeking a senior estimation professional in Coimbatore to lead estimation and cost-proposal activities for pressure vessels and related heavy fabrication equipment.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 8–10+ years of experience, MBA beneficial. You will coordinate with Design, Engineering, Production, Purchase, Quality and Sales teams to deliver competitive options.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering is required.
• Typically 8–10+ years in estimation/proposals for pressure vessels or heavy fabrication.
• Experience in pressure vessel / heat exchanger / process equipment manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study and review customer RFQs, specifications, datasheets, drawings and technical documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and techno-commercial quotations for pressure vessels, reactors, columns, storage tanks, heat exchangers and related equipment.
• Prepare BOM/MTO and calculate quantities for plates, pipes, forgings, flanges, fittings, nozzles and other components.
• Estimate raw material, fabrication, welding, machining, NDT, PWHT, hydro testing, painting/coating and inspection costs.
• Evaluate manufacturing feasibility considering cutting, rolling, forming, welding, machining and assembly operations.
• Review applicable ASME Section VIII, API, ASTM, TEMA and customer specifications.
• Prepare cost sheets covering material, labour, consumables, subcontracting, overheads, inspection and logistics.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors and prepare commercial comparisons.
• Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Production, Purchase, Quality and Sales teams for technical and costing inputs.

• Typically 38 years of relevant experience in estimation/proposals for pressure vessels or heavy fabrication; some senior MNC roles may require 8–10+ years. B Baroda Equipment and Vessels+1
