ICEM Engineering Co. Pvt. Limited. is seeking an Estimation Manager for their operations in Thane, Maharashtra, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and quotations for pressure vessel components, optimizing material costs, and coordinating with various teams to validate manufacturability and timelines.

Ideal candidates should possess a BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with over 5 years of estimation experience, alongside strong knowledge of steel materials and proficiency in AutoCAD.

We have an opening for anEstimation Manager based at our India operations.

Below is the JD for this position. The selected candidate shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for pressure vessel components — dished ends, rolled shells, cones, expansion bellows and explosion-bonded clad plates
• Studying client enquiries, drawings, datasheets and technical specifications to define scope, material and forming requirements
• Working out raw material requirements, plate sizes, weights and nesting / utilisation to optimise material cost
• Sourcing material inputs from steel mills and traders — understanding mill capabilities, rolling ranges, grades, thickness limits and delivery lead times
• Co-ordinating with sales, production, QA and purchase teams to validate manufacturability, costing assumptions and timelines
• Preparing and reviewing technical-commercial offers, including terms, exclusions and deviations
• Maintaining an estimation / enquiry register and supporting the conversion of enquiries into firm orders
• Reviewing and developing fabrication drawings and layouts in AutoCAD as required for estimation and offer support
• Strong knowledge of steel materials — carbon steel, stainless steel, clad and alloy grades — including specifications (SA 516, SA 240, SA 264, etc.) and their forming behaviour
• Sound understanding of steel mills and their capabilities — rolling ranges, plate sizes, grades produced, heat treatment and delivery patterns
• Well versed with AutoCAD for reading, developing and modifying drawings and layouts
• Ability to interpret pressure vessel component drawings, datasheets and codes
• Strong commercial sense for costing, weight calculation and material optimisation
• Good communication and co-ordination skills across departments
• Self-driven, detail-oriented and capable of taking independent decisions

Qualification & Working:

• Qualification – BE / Diploma Mechanical (preferred) with 5+ years of relevant estimation experience in pressure vessels, heavy fabrication, forming or static equipment
• Job location – India (Thane, Maharashtra)
• Salary – as per market / industry standards
• Preference for candidates with hands‑on estimation experience in dished ends, clad plates or heavy forming components
