Job summary

Rahul Engineering in Maharashtra, India seeks an Estimation Engineer with knowledge of costing for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, agitators and distillation columns used in process industries. You will interpret drawings and specifications, apply mechanical design knowledge, and assess feasibility and lead times.

The role requires collaborating with Sales on technical matters, attending tender meetings, calculating manpower and cost; ensuring accurate estimates and timely handover

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, scope of works, etc.
• Strong mechanical design knowledge for equipment like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, agitators and distillation columns.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements (U Stamp, TEMA, CE/PED).
• Feasibility studies of manufacturing processes and lead-time calculations.
• Understanding of materials of construction (MOC) and fabrication processes.
• Estimating manpower and identifying critical points in manufacturing for estimation.
• Awareness of commercial terms in quotations and proposals.
• Support to Sales team on technical matters and costing during tendering.
• Attend technical meetings with clients during tendering.
• Prepare handover reports and post-order communications.
• Monitor competitive prices and cost trends; strong attention to detail.

• Estimation Engineer with knowledge of costing for Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Reactors, Agitators and Distillation Columns used in Process Industries like Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Food and Beverage.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, scope of works, etc.
• Mechanical Design knowledge of above equipment.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements, U Stamp, TEMA, CE/PED.
• Feasibility study of manufacturing
• Knowledge of various material of construction (MOC) used in fabrication.
• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes involved in the equipment fabrication.
• Shall have good contacts with resources for raw materials, bought out items.
• Knowledge for calculating project lead-time.
• Shall be able to calculate the manpower requirement for manufacturing.
• Shall be able to identify the Critical points in manufacturing and incorporate that in estimation.
• Shall be aware of commercial terms in quotations and proposals.
• Assist the Sales Team on technical matters and costing during the process of securing the contract.
• To attend the technical meeting with clients during the tendering process.
• Prepare handover report for the award project and follow through Post Order Correspondence
• Monitors current competitive prices, new techniques, and cost trends.
• Strong analytical capability and attention to detail within calculations, checking and summarizing.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering
• Minimum experience of 2 years in similar industry and similar profile.
