Job summary

Padink Engineering Services in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own static equipment projects. You will perform pressure vessel calculations, prepare datasheets, and generate general arrangement drawings while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate holds BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering, with strong communication skills and knowledge of ASME/API/IBR standards; familiarity with PVELITE is a plus, and ITB/vendor

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of international & national standards ASME, API, IBR.

Responsibilities

• Perform pressure vessel engineering deliverables including calculations and datasheets.
• Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and coating specifications.
• Coordinate with process, instrumentation, piping, civil, electrical, vendors and clients.
• Review ITB documents, clarify deviations, and prepare manhour estimates.
• Ensure deliverables meet project specifications and standards.

Job Description

• Responsible for Pressure Vessel Engineering Deliverables including but not limited to:
  • Pressure Vessel Calculations
  • Datasheets
  • Pressure Vessel General Arrangement Drawings
  • Pressure Vessel Detailed Fabrication Drawings
  • Pressure Vessel Testing Requirements
  • Any Ladder or Structures directly attached to vessel
  • Internals selection, if applicable
  • Coating Specification
  • Preparation of Specifications
• Responsible to ensure engineering deliverables are as per Project specifications.
• Static Equipment Engineering for Projects. Have wide disciplineknowledge; good coordination skill with all the other Engineeringdisciplines, engineering sub-contractors, vendors and constructionteams.
• Experience with pressure vessels, tanks and Heat exchanges for chemical, oil & gas plants.
• Proficiency in PVELITE tool.
• Experience in preparation of Inquiry & Purchase technicalspecifications, review of vendor drawings, coordination with variousdisciplines such as Process, instrumentation, piping, civil, electrical,vendors and clients.
• Review of client ITB and provide clarifications / deviations during proposals, and prepare Manhours estimate.
• Familiarity with international & national standards ASME, TEMA, API, IBR.
• Responsible for MDS preparation, RFQ preparation, Technicalclarifications, Technical Bid Evaluation, Equipment selection and Postorder Vendor Document Review.
• Study of ITB document in detail and identification /application of project specific salient points.
• Provide progress feedback to Engineering Manager
