Job summary

Tata Ficosa Automotive Systems Pvt Ltd in India seeks an experienced professional to steer new developments, vendor development, cost reduction, QMS, and compliance across tooling, sheet metal parts, and supplier management.

You will coordinate with customers and suppliers to meet PM QCD targets, drive PPAP readiness, and ensure regulatory and environmental standards compliance. Strong collaboration with EBD and PM teams is essential to deliver on milestones.

Responsibilities

• New Developments: All Developments before customers demanded QCD targets
• Development of tools and parts as per PM QCD targets set
• Collaborate with EBD function & understand the requirements of customer
• Initiate process for tool specification
• Development of new product from conducting feasibility, quotations, and tools cost, APQP, Debugging, and Process setting, and conducting PPAP
• Monitor component development activity to meet projects milestones
• Study of Manufacturing feasibility, Make-or-Buy Decisions, Vendor selection, Establishing Capacity for volume production
• Development of press tools, concept approval, conducting trials
• Development of steel metal RM
• Selection and development of supplier for steel metal parts and RM
• RMC calculation for new sheet metal parts, machining, plating, powder coating
• Achieve dimensions in developed parts 95%
• Vendor Development: Exploring new vendors for tool making press parts
• Provide technical inputs and guide vendors on a continuous basis
• Share & learn with vendors
• Develop multiple vendors for the same product
• Material Cost Reduction: To track the current raw material rate in the market
• To eliminate the additional operating cost and identify alternate raw materials
• Focus on Localization
• Case specific cost analysis & saving on the tool (VAVE)
• Negotiate commercial terms, cost breakdowns, and annual price reductions
• QMS: Hands on systems of IATF 16949
• Knowledge and experience in OEM QMS like WCQMS, VDA6.3, MSA
• Knowledge and experience in special process QMS like CQi9
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain supplier documentation including NDA, contracts, certifications, and audit reports
• Ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory and environmental compliance standards
• Ensure timely APQP deliverables including PPAP submissions, sample approvals, and tooling readiness
