Job summary

Oben Electric Vehicles in Bengaluru, Karnataka, invites applications for a Full-time Supplier Development Manager. You will lead supplier onboarding, qualification, audits, contracting, and process validation to ensure quality and timely supply for EV programs.

You will drive PPAP/APQP docs, support NPD/ECN, manage cost through should-cost analyses, and coordinate with finance and engineering. The role requires 4+ years in automotive supplier development and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Supplier development management in Automotive Industry.
• Excellence in New supplier identification and evaluation management.
• Experience with zero-based costing and supplier audits.
• Knowledge about APQP, PPAP, DFM, FMEA, SPC and IATF 16949 ISO 9001.
• Preferred: completed one complete product development cycle for a vehicle.
• Ability to thrive under pressure to meet stringent timelines, excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• BE/ME EE/ECE engineering with min. 4 years experience. Automotive Industry experience is must.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier onboarding process from identification, qualification, audits, assessments, contracting to process validation.
• Drive documentation related to CFT meetings for requirement gathering, supplier identification and evaluation.
• Perform supplier quality assurance function for DFM study and provide technical support to freeze drawings related to NPD or ECN.
• Supplier visits to ensure process adherence as per the quality expectations set forth.
• Bridge the gap between finance and engineering team to realise the should-cost and take action for necessary ECN changes related to VAVE.
• Support imports and exports documentation for global sourcing commodities.
• Zero base cost documentation support and drive ECR.
• Support supplier evaluation matrix document basis product cost, quality, capacity planning, delivery, part support for years in service and payment terms.
• Supplier RM supplies evaluation study at Tier 3 level to ensure timely deliverables.
• Communication with supplier for non-conformance of parts and take necessary actions till SOP.
• Support PPAP documentation with Quality to closure.
