Job summary

HELLA eMobionics Private Limited seeks a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to lead supplier quality, APQP processes, and new product development with suppliers. The role focuses on root-cause analysis, PPAP approvals, and collaboration across design, engineering and procurement.

You will drive quality improvements with audits, 8D reports, and containment actions while ensuring compliance to IATF 16949:2015 and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Experience with APQP/PPAP in automotive or high-precision manufacturing.
• Hands-on root cause analysis, defect prevention, and supplier process audits.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949:2015 and GD&T.
• Experience with new product development with suppliers and PPAP approvals.
• Experience in two-wheeler or automotive industry and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products per requirements through APQP with suppliers.
• Participate in APQP for new product development and act as supplier quality representative.
• Coordinate design reviews, feasibility studies and supplier selection.
• Inspect newly developed products (layout inspection/functional tests).
• Coordinate gauge manufacturing for new projects.
• Monitor safe launch of new purchased parts.
• Lead sample approvals for mass production at supplier end.
• Analyze supplier non-conformances and perform 8D/5Why/Fishbone analyses.

YOUR TASKS

Key Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, and VDA 6.3. Knowledge of Quality Systems, IATF 16949:2015 , GD&T.
• Manufacturing process Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Injection molding process & Tooling’s [DFM, Mold flow ,Tool design know-how], High-pressure Die-casting, Stamping, Wiring-harnesses, Basic knowledge of other manufacturing processes.
• Industry Experience: Preferred background in automotive, or high-precision manufacturing industries.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Hands-on experience in root cause analysis, defect prevention, and supplier process audits.
• Good Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, to drive quality improvements.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel to supplier locations for audits, quality reviews, and corrective action implementations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing new Product as per specific requirement through APQP process with suppliers.
• Participate in APQP process for new product development and acted as supplier quality representative, initial design review, supplier process validation and final PPAP approval
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for design reviews, feasibility studies & Supplier Selection
• Responsible for Inspection (Layout inspection/ functionally test) of newly developed product
• Coordinate for the gauge manufacturing for the new project
• Safe launch monitoring of the new purchased part
• Responsible for new part development with supplier
• Analyze supplier non-conformances, defects, and quality issues, identifying root causes using 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
• Do the simulation of defect at supplier end to validate the root cause of problem. Suggest the appropriate countermeasure for the problem
• Problem Analysis (7 QC tool’s & SPC) & counter measure implementation & verification at supplier end
• Responsible for sample approval for mass production at supplier end
• Establish master samples at the time of development for visual defects and fitments approved by customer for further reference
• Follow up for the countermeasure / 8D report for rejection
• Participation in the customer specific audit, IATF audits
• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement programs to reduce defects and enhance quality levels.
• Basic Knowledge of VDA 6.3 & Tool manufacturing
• Basic Knowledge of Plastic molding, Die-casting, Sheet metal and rubber molding process, Electronic parts

Your Qualifications

• B. E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile
• Experience in two-wheeler or automotive Industry and suppliers
• 10 years of experience in Quality, Supplier selection, Supplier audit / Supplier development / New Product development / Incoming inspection
• Min 5 years of experience in New Product development with Supplier
