Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks an experienced specialist in automotive supplier development to lead new product development, APQP processes, and supplier audits. The role covers tooling, make/buy decisions, and capacity planning for diverse 3W/4W/CV components.

Ideal candidates will have a BE in Mechanical engineering and an MBA in Materials or Supply Chain, with 8–10 years in automotive supplier environments and willingness to travel for supplier assessments and development.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical with MBA in Materials or Supply Chain.
• 8–10 years of experience in automotive supplier development.
• Willing to travel for supplier assessment and development.
• Exposure to APQP, BOM cost estimation, capacity analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development through APQP and CDMM DE role.
• Develop suspension, tyres, brakes, axles, casting and forging commodities.
• Drive vendor development, supplier assessments and audits.
• Perform Make vs Buy analyses and obtain sign-off with stakeholders.
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies, FTG planning and FTG sign-off.
• Ensure part development per project requirements and adhere to MEPDS (Proto, Tooled up, PPAP).
• Establish Run at Rate/capacity per volume projections and secure capacity sign-off.
• Apply PFMEA, Control Plan, quality tools and problem solving techniques (GD&T).

• 2) Hands on experience of developing Suspension , Tyre , Brakes , Axle , Casting and Forging commodities
• 3) In depth Knowledge on Vendor development , Vendor management , SBC , ZBC , Capex Budgeting , BOM cost estimation,Capacity anylisis.
• 4) Worked in Supplier acessment and Supplier selction audits
• 5) Doing technical synthesis , Make Vs Buy anylisis and doing sign off with stake holders
• 6) Conducting Manufacturing Feasibility study,FTG planing , FTG buy off.
• 7) Ensuring Part development as per Project requirements and adhering to MEPDS process e,g Proto,Tooled up , PPAP Approved
• 8) Establishment of Run at rate / Capacity as per volume Projections and capacity sign off
• 9) Strong understanding on PFMEA,Control Plan , Quality tools , PRoblem Solving technicques , GD&T,etc
