Job summary

Bharat Techno Plast is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure high uptime for injection moulding machines and utilities in our facility in Maharashtra. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues, and support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with machine upkeep, utility systems, and adherence to safety SOPs.

Qualifications

• Injection moulding maintenance expertise.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Electrical troubleshooting with PLC basics.
• Maintenance of utility equipment.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• TPM and 5S implementation.
• MS Excel and maintenance reporting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements.
• Maintain utilities such as air compressors, chillers, DG sets, transformers and electrical panels.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and maintain records.
• Coordinate with production and tool room teams for mould maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
• Support audits related to IATF, ISO and customer requirements.

Job Purpose

To ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, utilities, and plant infrastructure through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Maintenance

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime and quick restoration of production equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements.

2. Utility Maintenance

• Maintain utilities such as air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, transformers, and electrical panels.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of power, compressed air, and cooling systems.

3. Preventive Maintenance

• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and machine history cards.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.

4. Tool & Equipment Support

• Coordinate with production and tool room teams for mould maintenance activities.
• Monitor mould cooling, hydraulic circuits, and machine safety systems.
• Support mould trials and new product development activities.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
• Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
• Support audits related to IATF, ISO, and customer requirements.
