Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Preventive & Predictive Maintenance schedules for Injection Molding Machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor machine performance indicators such as uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and breakdown frequency.
• Lead troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimize production losses.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee maintenance of Injection Molding Machines, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, and material handling systems.
• Manage utilities and energy usage for cost optimization.
• Identify critical spares and coordinate with procurement for timely availability.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and conduct periodic safety inspections.

Role & responsibilities

1. Maintenance Planning & Control

• Develop and implement Preventive & Predictive Maintenance schedules for Injection Molding Machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure systematic maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Monitor machine performance indicators such as uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and breakdown frequency.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records and reports.

2. Breakdown Management

• Lead troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Ensure quick restoration of machines to minimize production losses.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain breakdown history for trend analysis.

3. Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

• Oversee maintenance of:
  • Injection Molding Machines
  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems
  • Material handling systems
• Ensure proper machine alignment and precision maintenance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Supervise safe tool (mold) handling and movement.

4. Utilities Management

• Ensure uninterrupted supply and efficient operation of utilities
• Monitor energy usage and drive cost optimization initiatives.

5. Spare Parts & Inventory Management

• Identify critical spares and maintain optimum inventory levels.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability.
• Develop vendor relationships for maintenance support.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Implement electrical safety practices, machine guarding, and LOTO procedures.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and audits.

7. Team Management

• Lead and supervise maintenance engineers and technicians.
• Plan manpower allocation across shifts.
• Conduct skill development and technical training.
• Drive TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Support new machine installation, commissioning, and trials.
• Participate in capacity expansion and improvement projects.

Preferred Skills

• Strong Mechanical & Electrical troubleshooting skills
