Job summary

Arvind in India is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on static equipment such as heat exchangers and pressure vessels, ensuring compliance with ASME Section VIII Div.-1, IBR and client specifications.

You will study datasheets, prepare technical specifications, and perform design drawings and calculations. U stamp, IBR, and third-party coordination form part of the role, with emphasis on QEHS awareness and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in designing static equipment such as heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and related standards.
• Experience with U stamp, IBR, CCOE and client-approved design processes.

Responsibilities

• Study client datasheets, applicable specifications and standards after receipt of work order.
• Prepare technical purchase specifications as per client and code requirements.
• Conduct mechanical design of equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, etc.) as per ASME Section VIII Div.-1, IBR, IS Code or client requirements.
• Prepare design and drawing documents and related calculations.
• Handle U stamp, IBR, CCOE jobs and coordinate with authorities and third parties.
• Demonstrate QEHS awareness and contribute to design approvals.

Role & responsibilities

• After receipt of work Order, study the client datasheet, Applicable specification, standard.
• Preparation of Technical purchase specification as per client & code requirement.
• Mechanical Design of equipment (Pressure vessels, Heat Exchanger, Columns ,etc) as per

ASME Section VIII Div.-1,IBR, IS Code or as per client requirements.

• Preparation of design & drawings documents
• Handling U stamp, IBR, CCOE jobs.
• Exposed with Required Design Calculation and Material Knowledge
• Supportive role in Drawing & Design approval from AI (Authorized Inspector for U stamp jobs) ,Director of Boilers(For IBR jobs), Any other Third Party like: LRA(Lloyds Resister Asia),SGS,DCPL, Other design consultant like: EIL, Technip , Toyo , Uhde, L&T, etc.
• Candidate should be self driven, Hard Working & fast learner so that he can pick up the functional requirement.
• Basic Understanding of QEHS (Quality, Environment, Health & Safety) will be preferred

Preferred candidate profile

- 2 to 5 yrs (Diploma/Degree-Mechanical)of exp from designing Static equipments(Heat Exchanger, Pressure Vessels)

-Strong Knowledge of ASME Codes.
