Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services is seeking a Static Equipment Engineer to design and fabricate offshore and onshore pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks.

You will use COMPRESS or PV ELITE for calculations, review supplier drawings, and ensure compliance with client specs and SLB standards. The role also requires coordinating with vendors and supervising third-party contractors, with involvement in 3D model reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and fabrication of offshore/onshore pressure vessels.
• Proficient with mechanical calculations using COMPRESS or PV ELITE.
• Ability to review sub-supplier calculations and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with SLB procedures and project standards.
• Experience in 3D model reviews and coordinating with vendors.

Role & responsibilities

The Static Equipment Engineer is expected to have highly qualified on design and fabrication concepts of both Offshore and Onshore pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers and Tanks.

• Should be good on COMPRESS or PV ELITE software to perform mechanical calculation.
• Review and approve sub-supplier calculations and fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications or applicable standards as required.
• Study and understand the static equipment scope of work and quickly become conversant to SLB procedures and standards.
• Prepares Static equipment Design Basis, Datasheet and Mechanical calculations based on applicable Codes and client specifications including agreed exceptions.
• Review Provide necessary dimensional sketches, preliminary vessel weights and engineering instructions to the designing team, as required to identify locations of nozzles, supports and other vessel attachments
• Assist in providing necessary design information to Project/Client/Third Party, as required
• Prove mechanical design of pressure vessel internals, trays, baffles and distribution piping supports when required.
• Knowledge on appropriate materials, coatings, and corrosion protection measures to ensure the reliability and longevity of static equipment and Package.
• Supervise the third-party engineering contractor and vendors.
• Participate in 3D model review as required.
• Assigned tasks should be executed with minimum supervision.
