Job summary

Padmatech Industries Pvt. Ltd in Pune (Head Office, Bhosari) is seeking a Design/Draftsman Engineer to create and maintain process equipment drawings, focusing on shell and tube heat exchangers and static equipment. You will handle fabrication drawings, equipment layouts and structural/piping models.

The role requires 1–2 years BE or 3–4 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD; CREO is an added advantage. Knowledge of IS codes is beneficial.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1–2 years BE or 3–4 years Diploma experience, or 6–8 years in a similar field.

Design/Draftsman Engineer

Job Description

• Capable of drawing process equipment such as reactors, fermenters, heat exchangers, columns, structures, pipelines, storage tanks, and pressure vessels.
• Static equipment design engineer with knowledge of fabrication drawings.
• Specialized in shell and tube heat exchangers.
• Experience designing equipment for Food, Pharma, Chemical, Biotech, API, and EPC industries.
• Prepare and maintain drawings.
• Knowledge of plate, pipe & fittings, and bought‐out items such as valves and instruments.
• Develop 2D drawings of design specifications for mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of SA240 GR304, 304L, 316 & 316L materials and IS 2062 & 516 Grade materials.
• Familiar with ASME Section VIIIDiv‑1 and TEMA Code.
• Good communication and independent decision‑making skills.
• Design and develop equipment layout.
• Modeling of structures, equipment, and piping in the design module.
