Role Definition

A Senior Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of complex engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and innovation. They collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and oversee the design process from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Heat Exchanger Design – Lead end‑to‑end design, perform thermal and mechanical calculations, develop detailed drawings, conduct FEA & CFD.
• Technical Expertise – Ensure compliance with ASME, TEMA, API standards, material selection, support design improvements, evaluate alternatives.
• Quality & Compliance – Meet regulatory and quality requirements, work with production & QA, conduct reviews, collaborate with suppliers.
• Documentation & Reporting – Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, prepare presentations, assist in proposals.
• Client & Project Management – Collaborate with clients & sales, present proposals, support project execution, troubleshoot field performance.

Qualifications

Education: B.E. Mechanical or B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 3‑7 years in heat exchanger design, preferably in oil & gas manufacturing; experience leading complex design projects.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and tools for heat transfer and thermodynamics.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ASME, TEMA, API standards.

Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving, leadership, and communication skills.
