Job summary

Tata Communications Limited is seeking an experienced network operations professional to manage installation support, provisioning, and configuration for complex telecom networks. The role emphasizes hands-on device configuration and service activation across Juniper, Cisco, Nokia platforms.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 4–6 years of field and project management experience, with familiarity in Fibre, IP/MPLS, and cloud networking tools such as Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in network infrastructure project management and on-field experience.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on configuration and provisioning of Juniper (MX), Cisco, and Nokia devices.
• Scripting for device configuration (SecureCRT, WinSCP).
• Knowledge of Microwave and RAN equipment.
• DWDM provisioning on Nokia PSS and Huawei platforms using NFM-P and NFM-T.
• Experience with Cisco Prime for NTU device scripting.

Broad outline of the Role

• Responsible for all operations and trouble shooting with respect to installation support, network service configuration. This is an operational role which is responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results for projects undertaken as per business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
• 4-6 years relevant experience in network infrastructure project management and on field experience

Other Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of Provisioning process, Telephone, Internet, Data, Service Activation
  • Huawei certifications: NCE-CE (Cloud & Enterprise) and NCE-TX (Transmission).
  • Experience with fibre, transport, and IP/MPLS service provisioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on configuration and provisioning of Juniper (MX), Cisco, and Nokia devices.
• Strong experience with SecureCRT, WinSCP, and scripting for device configuration.
• Knowledge on Microwave (NEC, Ericsson, Ceragon) and RAN equipment
• DWDM provisioning experience on Nokia PSS and Huawei platforms using NFM-P and NFM-T.
• Working knowledge of Alcatel SDH (1660, 1662, 1642), Cisco WIP routers, Nokia NGTT/NGCE-AA, and Netconfig roles.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS networking, including tunnel creation.
• Operational knowledge of NBN Portal, One Manage, TEMIP, Voice Switches, and OSS systems.
• Experience using Cisco Prime for NTU device scripting.
