Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in network design, hardware planning, service design, and testing.
• Handle network element lifecycle planning and qualification of new platforms.
• Test and document services; prepare design documents and templates.
• Interact with operations and project management to execute plans.
• Support product and pre-sales teams in RFP responses.
• Contribute to network automation and validation of automation solutions.
• Build, operate, and maintain Network Services Orchestrator infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Following is the JD:

• Part of network planning & engineering team to handle network design, hardware planning, service design, service testing, network/service automation, lifecycle planning, capacity planning, and monitor the Network KPI.
• Network element lifecycle planning
• Qualify new platforms
• Test and document the services
• Prepare detailed low level and high-level design & standard configuration template documents.
• Interact with internal cross-functional teams such as operations, project management to execute the provided plans.
• Part of L4 escalation handling team to support internal teams.
• Support product and pre-sales teams in preparing responses to complex customer RFP queries.
• Support network automation and system engineering functions with service logic and validation of automation solutions.
• Design and maintain the network automation infrastructure.
• Build/Operate/Maintain the Microservices architecture of Network Services Orchestrator infrastructure by following the Devops best practises.
• Support Automation team leads within the organization for automating Network Services activation and fulfillment by executing the entrusted tasks.
• Support to understand the existing and new Network Services and prepare the business logic and service templates for the same.
• Work with OEM/Vendors and to deliver the end project objectives.
• Able to independently work on assigned project within minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• BE in Electronic & Telecom or Information Technology;
• Knowledge of networking (routers/switches).
• Clear on basics of : BGP/MPBGP, OSPF, ISIS, STP/RSTP/MSTP & Ethernet.
• Basic knowledge of MPLS VPN services: L2/L3VPNs
• CCNA, Python & RHEL certifications will be added advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong technical documentation skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Nice to have
• Knowledge and proficiency in Systems: Linux, Windows, Shell scripting.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Network Automation tools: Python
• Knowledge and proficiency in working with REST API and performing application to application API integration.
• Knowledge of Virtualization technologies (e.g. KVM or VMWare or Kubernetes);

Experience and knowledge Cloud Services (e.g Azure, AWS or GCP) and architecture. Prior Knowledge of Azure express route or Amazon Direct Connect services will be an added advantage.
