Presidio Solutions is seeking an experienced SQL L2 Support Engineer to join our production support team in India. You will troubleshoot production issues, monitor SQL databases, and support Azure pipelines to ensure high availability of business-critical applications.

The role requires 4-7 years of SQL production or application support with strong SQL and Azure skills, incident handling experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Willingness to work shifts and on-call as needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide L2 production support for applications and database-related issues.
• Troubleshoot SQL data issues, job failures, and performance problems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries including joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and data validation queries.
• Monitor and support Azure SQL Database / Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Analyze application and database errors and provide timely resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production incidents.
• Work with L1, L3 teams, developers, and business users for issue resolution.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Monitor scheduled jobs, batch processes, and ETL workflows.
• Ensure adherence to SLA and operational support processes.
• Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SQL L2 Support Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Azure cloud technologies, and production application support. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, monitoring database activities, resolving incidents within SLA, and supporting business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 production support for applications and database-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SQL data issues, job failures, and performance problems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in SQL Production Support / Application Support.
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• SQL Server / Azure SQL Database
• SQL queries, joins, views, stored procedures, functions
• Query troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Data analysis and validation
• Experience working with Azure services, preferably:
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
• Experience in handling production incidents and problem management.
• Good understanding of:
• Indexes
• Execution plans
• Deadlocks and blocking issues
• Database troubleshooting
• Experience with ticketing tools such as:
• ServiceNow
• Jira
• Remedy
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with ETL support.
• Basic knowledge of PowerShell or scripting.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based application support.

Qualification
