Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Specialist - HRO with Payroll & Benefits expertise to lead end-to-end UK payroll operations. You will ensure accurate processing, validate complex payroll data, and maintain compliance with HMRC, RTI and data protection standards.

Ideal candidates bring UK payroll knowledge, systems experience (Workday/UKG/SAP), and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced global environment. Office-based in India with evening shifts to cover UK time zones.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end UK payroll operations with accuracy and timeliness

• Ensure correct calculation of PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory payments
• Review and reconcile payroll output before approvals and disbursement
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, RTI, and UK law
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax codes and auto-enrolment pensions
• Support audits with documentation and analysis
• Guarantee GDPR compliance and data protection policies

Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of (UK)-HRO] for Payroll

In this role, [This role requires strong payroll processing expertise, a solid understanding of end to end UK payroll legislation and systems, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, global environment.].

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee end-to-end UK payroll operations — ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees
• Validate payroll data including new starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, and deductions
• Ensure correct calculation of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP, etc.).
• Review and reconcile payroll output to maintain accuracy prior to approvals and disbursement
• Ensure payroll processes fully comply with HMRC regulations, RTI reporting, and UK employment law
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax codes, auto-enrolment pensions, and statutory legislation changes
• Support internal and external payroll audits by providing documentation and analysis
• Guarantee compliance with GDPR and company data protection policies

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Good understanding of employment law and tax regulations and the application to payroll procedures
• SAP ECC 6 system payroll data entry and reporting, Workday, UKG, Country Vendor Tools etc.
• Fast and accurate data entry, with excellent attention to detail
• To manage priorities while working to sensitive payroll deadlines and collaborate at all levels across the business
• Good Excel skills (Pivot tables, v-look up)
• Some understanding of Payroll Accounting practices and procedures
