Job summary

Purview Services is seeking an experienced Architect to lead engineering designs and solution architecture across logical and physical layers. You will participate in governance to ensure designs stay aligned with roadmaps and future state architecture.

The role involves ensuring hosted solutions are properly governed and approved, including cloud, PaaS and SaaS deployments, with strong emphasis on security, networking, and middleware.

Qualifications

• Experience as Specialist Engineer or Lead Architect.
• Experience with enterprise/global systems including cloud governance and external/hosted solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure, AWS, GCP and MuleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Delivering Engineering Designs and Solution Architecture to meet business requirements from logical to physical architecture.
• Participating in Architectural Governance processes to align designs with roadmaps and future state architecture.
• Ensuring hosted deployments are governed and approved (internal, external, cloud, PaaS, SaaS).
• Knowledge of networking, IoT/Edge technologies, security solutions, server infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, middleware, and databases.
• Understand Enterprise Architecture and how it maps to business strategy and operating models.
• Experience with enterprise/global systems including cloud-based solutions and governance processes.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Delivering Engineering Designs and Solution Architecture to meet business requirements, from logical architecture through to physical infrastructure architecture.


• Participating in Architectural Governance processes to ensure that proposed solution designs are strategically aligned to the architecture roadmaps and the Groups Future State Architecture


• Ensuring that deployed system solutions, both vendors supplied, and in-house developments are appropriately hosted (Internally, Externally, Cloud, PaaS, SaaS) including the corresponding governance and relevant approval processes.


• In-depth technical, functional, and non-functional knowledge of:

• Excellent understanding of the concept of Enterprise Architecture and its relationship to business strategy and target operating models, and how to relate this to an architecture roadmap and a solid understanding of general architectural concepts, principles, governance, and best practices.


• Experience of working with enterprise or global systems and solutions, including Externally Hosted and Cloud based solutions; PaaS, SaaS and the associated governance processes; EHC, ITSA, etc.


• Experience of technologies: AWS, Google GCP, Azure, MuleSoft


• Experience in other architecture disciplines such as data or business architecture.


• Good understanding of the Financial Services industry and building security technology.


• Demonstrable experience as a Specialist Engineer or Lead Architect
