Job summary

Nigasavi Solutions Llp in Pune, India is seeking a mechanical design engineer with hands-on SolidWorks experience to design enclosures, brackets, and assemblies for electronic equipment.

The role focuses on 3D modelling, sheet metal, plastics, and integration of PCB components, with an emphasis on manufacturability, reliability, and documentation such as BOMs and revision control. On-site collaboration with vendors and production teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, and drawings with sheet metal and weldments.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, limits, fits and tolerances.
• Experience in DFM/DFA and producing manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, and finishing processes.
• Basic knowledge of injection molding, extrusion and fabricated assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks for electronic enclosures.
• Design sheet metal, machined, plastic parts and enclosures.
• Package mechanical assemblies with electronics, ensuring fit and thermal considerations.
• Integrate PCBs and components into enclosures.
• Design brackets, panels, fixtures and structures.
• Prepare BOMs, manufacturing documentation and maintain revision control.
• Perform design reviews, tolerance verification and validation.
• Coordinate with vendors and production teams.

Job description

Key Responsibilities :

• SolidWorks 3D modelling and assembly design

• Design reviews, tolerance verification and validation

Preferred Experience :

• Experience with industrial electronic equipment, control panels, HMIs, enclosures, automation equipment, machines or electrical assemblies is preferred.
• Knowledge of PCB mounting, connectors, displays, cooling, cable routing, IP-rated enclosures, EMC considerations and service accessibility will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in configurations, design tables, exploded views, BOMs, interference detection, mass properties and STEP/IGES files is expected. SolidWorks Simulation, PDM or electrical-mechanical integration experience is a plus.
