Job summary

RGBSI in Ahmedabad, India is seeking a design engineer to craft sheet metal parts and assemblies independently. You will develop detailed 3D models, create manufacturing drawings and BOMs, and ensure adherence to the Product Engineering process.

You will redesign legacy products to cut costs, contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA, and prepare ECN documentation. Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, plus the ability to interpret drawings, are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Sheetmetal parts and assembly independently.
• Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal assemblies.
• Follow the Product Engineering process. Redesign old products to improve manufacturing and decrease cost.
• Contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
• ECN preparation, submissions and Maintain documentation. Writing or presenting reports for project managers and clients. Document and communicate well at each step. Interface with customers, internally and externally, on technical details and project goals. Be the owner of assigned project/task.

Mandatory Skills:

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret the Engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and vice versa swiftly.
