Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a skilled engineer to design sheet metal parts and assemblies. The role involves developing 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs, while redesigning existing products to improve manufacturability and reduce costs.

You will contribute to design and process FMEA, prepare ECNs, and maintain documentation, interfacing with customers and managers. The candidate should be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and able to read engineering drawings, with strong sheet metal and

• Proficiency in detailed 3D modeling and BOM creation.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal parts and assemblies independently.
• Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal assemblies.
• Redesign old products to improve manufacturability and reduce cost.

• Prepare ECNs, maintain documentation, and communicate with project managers and clients.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Sheetmetal parts and assembly independently.
• Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal assemblies.
• Follow the Product Engineering process. Redesign old products to improve manufacturing and decrease cost.
• Contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
• ECN preparation, submissions and Maintain documentation. Writing or presenting reports for project managers and clients. Document and communicate well at each step. Interface with customers, internally and externally, on technical details and project goals. Be the owner of assigned project/task.

Mandatory Skills:

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret the Engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and vice versa swiftly.
