Job summary

RGBSI in Pune, India, is seeking a design engineer focused on Sheet Metal design. You will design sheet metal parts and assemblies independently, develop 3D models, drawings, and BOMs, and contribute to cost reductions through redesigns.

You will follow the Product Engineering process, participate in FMEA, prepare ECNs, and interact with customers and project managers to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and vice versa swiftly.
• Sheet Metal proficiency and Structural Design.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal parts and assemblies independently.
• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal assemblies.
• Follow the Product Engineering process and redesign old products to improve manufacturability and reduce cost.
• Contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
• ECN preparation, submissions and maintain documentation. Write or present reports for project managers and clients; communicate at each step and own assigned project/tasks.

• Follow the Product Engineering process. Redesign old products to improve manufacturing and decrease cost.
• Contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
• ECN preparation, submissions and Maintain documentation. Writing or presenting reports for project managers and clients. Document and communicate well at each step. Interface with customers, internally and externally, on technical details and project goals. Be the owner of assigned project/task.

Mandatory Skills:

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret the Engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and vice versa swiftly.
