Job summary

RGBSI in India seeks a design engineer to design sheet metal parts and assemblies, develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings and BOMs for sheet metal products.

You will follow the Product Engineering process, redesign old products to cut costs, contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA, and own assigned project tasks. You will prepare ECNs, maintain documentation, and report to managers and clients while interfacing with customers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Sheet metal design and structural design experience.
• Ability to convert 2D drawings to 3D and vice versa quickly.

• ECN preparation, submissions and maintain documentation; write or present reports for managers and clients; interface with customers and internal teams; own assigned project/task.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Sheetmetal parts and assembly independently.
• Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal assemblies.
• Follow the Product Engineering process. Redesign old products to improve manufacturing and decrease cost.
• Contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
• ECN preparation, submissions and Maintain documentation. Writing or presenting reports for project managers and clients. Document and communicate well at each step. Interface with customers, internally and externally, on technical details and project goals. Be the owner of assigned project/task.

Mandatory Skills:

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret the Engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and vice versa swiftly.
