Installing a solar plant is only the start. The real test is keeping it running for years. As a Solar Service Technician at EcoSoch, you are the problem-solver who visits a customer’s home or business, finds out why the system isn’t performing, and fixes it. Every visit is a new puzzle, and every solved issue means a happy customer and a plant back to full power.
If you enjoy troubleshooting, working on your own at site, and seeing your fix work on the spot, you’ll enjoy this job.
What you’ll do
- Attend service calls: visit residential and commercial customer sites in Bangalore when their solar system has a problem
- Diagnose faults: find the cause of low generation, inverter errors, string failures, earth faults, tripping, and monitoring or connectivity issues
- Repair and resolve: fix the issue at site, or replace faulty parts like connectors, cables, fuses, SPDs or inverter components
- Carry out preventive maintenance: inspect panels, wiring, structures, earthing and inverters, and clean panels where needed
- Test after repair: check readings and make sure the system works properly before you leave
- Keep records: fill in service reports with the problem, cause, action taken and parts used
- Talk to customers: explain the issue and the fix in simple words, and give tips to keep the system performing well
- Work safely: follow electrical and working-at-height safety practices at every site
What we’re looking for
- ITI (Electrician / Wireman) or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics
- Minimum 1 year of experience in solar installation, service or electrical work
- Good knowledge of DC/AC wiring, earthing, inverters and protection devices
- Comfortable using a multimeter, clamp meter and insulation tester
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and patience to trace a fault step by step
- Ability to work independently at site and communicate politely with customers
- Basic reading and writing skills to fill service reports
- Solar PV Installer certification is a plus, but not mandatory
Good to know before you apply
- Field work is the job. You will travel to different customer sites across Bangalore every day based on service calls.
- Own vehicle required. You must have your own two-wheeler (or four-wheeler) and a valid driving licence. Fuel/travel allowance is provided, and the details will be shared at the interview.
- Working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday weekly off.
- Urgent calls: Occasional urgent breakdown calls may come outside working hours, and there is a weekend rotation for service support.
