Job summary

SELCO India is seeking a technically skilled Solar Service Engineer to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and after-sales service of solar PV systems across customer sites in Bengaluru. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with installation teams to ensure reliable system performance and safety compliance.

Freshers with solid electrical/solar knowledge may be considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical wiring, inverters, batteries, and protection systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email, and service reporting.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and service solar PV systems.
• Troubleshoot solar inverters, panels, batteries, DC/AC wiring, protection devices, and monitoring systems.
• Attend customer complaints and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems.
• Diagnose inverter alarms, generation issues, communication faults, and electrical problems.
• Conduct site inspections and system performance checks.
• Support customers, dealers, EPC partners, and installation teams with technical assistance.
• Maintain service reports, site-visit reports, complaint records, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with technical, operations, and spare-parts teams for complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and site safety requirements.
• Travel to customer/project locations as required.
