Job summary

VGO Solar Pvt Ltd is seeking a hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee solar plant installation and commissioning at project sites. You will coordinate manpower, track progress, ensure quality and safety, and report regularly to management.

Ideal candidates have ITI/Diploma or 12th/PUC, Kannada fluency and basic English, with strong people management and reporting skills. 6-day weeks and site travel near Bidar are expected.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / 12th or PUC graduates required.
• Basics in English and fluent in Kannada (spoken and written).
• Strong people management skills enabling leading, coordinating and getting work done through site labour and contractors.
• Comfortable with daily reporting and documentation, including photo updates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site activities related to solar plant installation, testing and commissioning.
• Monitor daily progress against project plan and report status with photos.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks like material shortages, labour issues and technical snags promptly.
• Maintain daily progress reports, site logs and documentation (inward/outward materials, attendance, completion records, photos).
• Ensure adherence to safety norms and maintain a safe site environment.
• Motivate on-site teams to ensure productivity and timely milestone completion.
• Escalate risks or delays with clear reasoning and solutions to management.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Site Manager to oversee day-to-day execution of solar power plant installation and commissioning at project sites. You will be the on-ground owner of project delivery coordinating manpower, tracking progress against timelines, ensuring quality and safety standards, and keeping management informed with clear, timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all on-site activities related to solar power plant installation, testing, and commissioning
• Monitor daily progress of work against the project plan and report status to the reporting manager on a daily basis, including photographs of work completed
• Identify and resolve on-site bottlenecks material shortages, labour issues, technical snags quickly and independently
• Maintain daily progress reports, site logs, and documentation (material inward/outward, attendance, work completion records, photographic evidence)
• Ensure adherence to safety norms and maintain a safe working environment at the site
• Manage and motivate on-site teams to ensure productivity and timely completion of milestones
• Escalate risks, delays, or deviations to management proactively, with clear reasoning and suggested solutions.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma / 12th or PUC graduates
• Basics in English and fluent in Kannada (spoken and written)
• Strong people management skills ability to lead, coordinate, and get work done through site labour and contractors
• Comfortable with daily reporting and documentation, including photo-based updates (smartphone + MS Excel/Word)
• Strong problem-solving ability and ownership mindset someone who drives outcomes rather than waits for instructions.

Work Details:

• Working Days: 6 Days a Week (Monday - Saturday)
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Reporting Location: Bider (Site location)
• Field Travel: Employee required to live near site location.
