Job summary

VGO Solar Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking a Solar PV Designer & Project Manager to design rooftop and ground-mount PV systems, monitor multiple sites, and coordinate installation teams. You will prepare SLDs and BOM/BOQ estimates and track project progress to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years of solar PV design and project handling experience, with hands-on AutoCAD and PVsyst skills. Office-based/Bangalore home-office options are available, with 6 days a week work and 9:30

We help industries, factories, and institutions move away from conventional grid power to clean, cost-effective solar energy through end-to-end solar installation and commissioning services.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Solar PV Designer & Project Manager who combines strong technical design skills with the ability to monitor and manage multiple solar power plant installation projects at the same time. You will prepare PV system designs and layouts, and also track site progress, coordinate installation teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Solar PV Design:

• Design rooftop and ground-mount solar PV layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring optimal placement of modules, inverters, and electrical components
• Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and load calculations to determine the most efficient solar solution for each project
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, cable routing, and mounting structure designs
• Run PVsyst simulations to estimate energy generation, assess losses, and evaluate performance (PR, CUF)
• Ensure all designs meet IEEE and other applicable technical/regulatory standards.

Project Monitoring & Management:

• Monitor and manage multiple ongoing solar installation projects/sites simultaneously, tracking progress against timelines
• Coordinate with site Managers and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time execution
• Track daily/weekly generation and site progress data, and prepare performance and status reports for management
• Diagnose and help resolve on-site technical issues and faults during installation and commissioning
• Support procurement and material coordination across active projects
• Maintain project documentation, technical reports, and client-facing presentations

Requirements:

• Any bachelor's degree with experience in Solar power plant designing 3 5 years of experience in solar PV design
• Hands-on working knowledge of AutoCAD and PVsyst (SketchUp / Solar Lab is a plus)
• Understanding of SLD preparation, cable/string sizing, and BOM/BOQ estimation
• Demonstrated ability to independently track and manage multiple project sites and timelines at once
• Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise with site teams and vendors
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Work Details :

Working Days: 6 Days a Week (Monday Saturday)

Working Hours: 9:30 AM 6:00 PM
