Job summary

2coms in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Solar O&M Technician to manage rooftop and ground-mounted Solar PV plants. The role requires 2-3 years of hands-on O&M, strong electrical troubleshooting, and a valid Wireman/Supervisor Licence.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, plant monitoring via SCADA, safety compliance, data recording, and travel to project sites as required. Reading SLDs and drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• Valid Wireman / Supervisor Licence is mandatory.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Solar PV O&M.
• Experience with rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar power plants.
• Good knowledge of Solar PV systems, string inverters, ACDB, DCDB, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, and earthing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Basic computer knowledge for maintenance reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of PTW, LOTO, EHS, and electrical safety procedures.

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to maximise plant availability.
• Supervise module cleaning and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Record daily generation data, breakdown reports, maintenance activities, and site observations.
• Coordinate with the Asset Manager for preventive maintenance, breakdowns, shutdowns, and reporting.
• Follow EHS, electrical safety, PTW, and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain tools, testing instruments, spare parts, and site maintenance records.
• Support commissioning, testing, performance evaluation, and site audits.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards at project sites.
