Job summary

upGrad X, the offline learning arm of upGrad, seeks an experienced Soft Skills Trainer to drive learner employability, career readiness, and placement preparedness in Hyderabad. You will facilitate classroom sessions, coach learners, analyze assessments, track progress, and collaborate with placement teams to improve outcomes.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience in Soft Skills/Employability training, strong communication and presentation skills, and proficiency with MS Excel, Google

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or Management.
• 5–7 years of experience in Soft Skills Training, Employability Training, Career Preparation, Learning & Development, or related domains.
• Strong experience training students, fresh graduates, or early-career professionals.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Expertise in resume building, resume justification, interview preparation, and group discussion facilitation.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, LMS platforms, and reporting tools.
• Ability to maintain learner databases and provide data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom sessions on Communication Skills, Group Discussions, Idea Generation Techniques, Interview Skills, Resume Writing, Resume Justification, Professional Etiquette, and Workplace Readiness.
• Conduct mock interviews, assessments, workshops, and career-readiness initiatives.
• Drive placement readiness programs and mentor learners throughout their learning journey.
• Identify learner skill gaps and recommend developmental action plans.
• Maintain student records, attendance data, assessment reports, and learner progress trackers.
• Ensure accurate data maintenance and timely reporting.
• Analyze learner assessment data and generate meaningful insights for student development.
• Provide productivity insights and recommendations based on learner performance trends.
• Support placement pipeline prediction through analysis of assessment scores, communication evaluations, and mock interview performance.
• Collaborate closely with Academic, Placement, and Operations teams to improve placement outcomes.
• Develop and update learning content, activities, and training materials.
