The Front Office Associate Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and practical training aligned with the approved curriculum and industry standards. The role focuses on equipping learners with the technical knowledge, customer service skills, communication abilities, and professional etiquette required for employment in the hospitality and service industry. The trainer will also support assessments, certification, learner engagement, and placement readiness while ensuring quality training outcomes.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Training Delivery & Classroom Management
- Deliver theory and practical sessions as per the approved curriculum, session plans, and training schedule.
- Create an interactive and learner-centric classroom environment using participatory training methodologies.
- Ensure effective classroom management, discipline, and learner engagement throughout the training period.
B. Technical Training & Skill Development
- Train learners on front office operations, guest handling, reception management, reservations, telephone etiquette, grooming standards, communication skills, hospitality etiquette, customer service, and complaint handling.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, role plays, simulations, and mock front office scenarios to build industry readiness.
C. Assessments & Learner Progress
- Conduct periodic assessments, practical evaluations, assignments, and knowledge checks to monitor learner performance.
- Maintain learner attendance, assessment records, and training documentation.
- Prepare learners for Sector Skill Council assessments and certification.
D. Placement Readiness & Industry Engagement
- Prepare learners for interviews by strengthening workplace behaviour, professional grooming, communication, and customer interaction skills.
- Coordinate with the Placement Officer for industry interactions, mock interviews, guest lectures, and placement activities.
- Provide regular feedback on learner performance and employability readiness.
E. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, assessment reports, and other training documentation.
- Submit timely progress reports and MIS as required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, project guidelines, and quality standards.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A degree or certification in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field will be preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, front office operations, hospitality training, or skill development programs.
- Experience in NSDC/SSC-aligned training or CSR-funded skilling projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of front office operations, hospitality standards, and customer service.
- Good understanding of the NSDC ecosystem, NSQF framework, Qualification Packs (QPs), National Occupational Standards (NOS), and competency-based training and assessment methodologies.
- Excellent classroom facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and grooming skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate diverse learner groups.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning tools.
- Strong documentation, assessment, and reporting skills.
