The role requires 6-7 years of solar EPC site execution experience, including 2-3 years in supervision. You will manage documentation, reporting, and alignment with IS/IEC safety standards, with travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site solar project execution from installation to commissioning.
• Manage civil, mounting, cabling, and inverter/transformer installation.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and manpower; track progress.
• Enforce EHS standards and audits at the site.
• Prepare DPRs, material records, reports, and QA/QC documentation.
• Single point of contact for client and TPI; coordinate design and procurement.

Position: Site Incharge - Solar Projects

Reports to: Program Manager

About the Role

Lead on-site execution of solar PV projects - from installation to commissioning and handover. Own quality, safety, and timelines on ground.

Key Responsibilities

Execution

• Manage civil, structure, module mounting, DC/AC cabling, and inverter/transformer installation.
• Track daily/weekly progress against schedule.
• Coordinate contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors for material and manpower.
• Ensure work matches drawings and SLDs.

Quality & Safety

• Enforce EHS standards; conduct toolbox talks and audits.
• Check quality at each stage: foundation, structure alignment, torque, cabling, earthing.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and site regulations.

Commissioning

• Conduct pre-commissioning checks, string testing, IV curves, and grid sync.
• Coordinate with DISCOM for approvals and net-metering.
• Support O&M during handover and PR monitoring.

Documentation

• Maintain DPRs, material records, and site inventory.
• Share weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Manage QA/QC and safety documentation.

Coordination

• Single point of contact for client and TPI at site.
• Align with design and procurement for material availability.
• Handle labour, land, and local site issues.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of PV components: modules, inverters, structures, transformers, SCADA.
• Hands-on with installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Can read electrical drawings and SLDs.
• Knows IS/IEC safety and quality standards.
• Skilled in MS Excel/Project; ERP exposure a plus.
• Strong contractor and labour management skills.
• Comfortable with outdoor site conditions and travel.

Qualification
