Job summary

Kannanware is seeking a Shift Supervisor to manage daily operations on the production floor in Tamil Nadu. The role involves supervising operators, ensuring safety practices, maintaining quality, and achieving targeted output.

You will prepare weekly and monthly reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering and 3–5 years of experience in a production setup.

Qualifications

• Diploma or graduate in mechanical, electrical, production, or industrial engineering.
• 3 to 5 years in a production setup.
• Basic knowledge of production and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shop floor activities during the shift.
• Conduct morning toolbox meetings with technicians and explain tasks and safety methods.
• Ensure production targets are met in quality, quantity and safety.
• Monitor production and address doubts; handover status to next shift.
• Train and coach operators for improved performance and safety.
• Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Support 5S, Kaizen and lean initiatives; participate in daily review meetings.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations on the production floor

• managing operators – discipline, timeliness
• ensure all defined safety practices are followed
• maintain the product quality
• meet the targeted production output
• prepare weekly and monthly reports
• Communicate and involve in continuous improvement.
• Must possess basic knowledge and understanding of production and quality processes.
• Understanding of Drawings and technical documents, SOP's.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of shop floor during the shift.
• Conduct the morning toolbox meeting with technicians, explain the specific tasks, Safety methods.
• Ensure shift production targets are met in quality, quantity, and safe practices are followed.
• Monitor production and clarify any doubts.
• Handover to the next shift properly the status
• Train and coach operators for improved performance and safety practices.
• Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance for timely repair.
• Maintain discipline and resolve minor grievances within the shift.
• Support the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and lean initiatives.
• Participate in daily review meetings and escalated issues proactively.

Qualification and Experience

Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

3 to 5 years in production setup..
