Job summary

Godrej Properties is seeking a Shift Engineer to operate in rotating shifts, monitoring and maintaining critical facility systems to deliver a safe, comfortable environment for occupants while complying with safety and operational standards. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting and proactive maintenance.

You will work with technicians and service partners to keep HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems in top condition, prepare repair estimates, and track performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in property, facilities or technical assets maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal performance of buildings, utilities, and critical equipment through effective maintenance and monitoring.
• Identify, assess, and resolve maintenance and operational issues in coordination with internal teams and service partners.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, and security systems.
• Maintain heating and cooling systems, motors, pumps, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Monitor and service boilers, generators, electrical panels, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Support maintenance of HVAC, irrigation, alarm, and life-safety systems.
• Prepare estimates for repair and maintenance work, prioritizing tasks based on criticality.
• Supervise, guide, and support technicians including electricians, plumbers, and multi-skilled staff.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, alarms, and emergency situations.
• Track service performance metrics and support reporting and analysis.
• Maintain accurate logs, inventories, and ensure timely ordering of spares and consumables.

About the Role

• The Shift Engineer operates in rotating shifts to ensure uninterrupted functioning of critical facility systems. This role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment to deliver a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for occupants while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

• Relevant experience in property, facility, or technical assets maintenance

Skills Required

• Strong technical understanding of building systems and equipment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a shift-based environment.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required.
