Job summary

Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) seeks an experienced engineer to lead a team responsible for Greenfield and Brownfield projects in the chemical sector. You will plan, review and execute critical process designs, equipment layouts, and environmental systems with focus on safety, reliability and cost efficiency.

You will coordinate with Process, Operations, Safety, QA/QC, Projects and Procurement to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years in end-to-end project management, detail engineering and project construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers for Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Plan, coordinate and execute engineering activities per schedules, budgets and safety requirements.
• Review process plants, equipment, utilities and environmental systems for safety and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
• Evaluate new technologies, equipment and vendors for feasibility and procurement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and executives for the successful execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and project activities in line with project schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and approved budgets.
• Design and review complete chemical process plants with a focus on safety, reliability, operability, and cost optimization.
• Design and review process equipment, including reactors, distillation columns, vacuum systems, package units, tanks with agitators, process piping, compressors, pumps, and other critical process equipment. Design and review utility systems such as cooling towers, chillers, thermic fluid heaters, boilers, air compressors, DM plants, blowers, and associated utilities.
• Design and review environmental systems, including ETP, RO, MEE, and other wastewater treatment facilities.
• Coordinate with Process, Operations, Safety, Procurement, QA/QC, Projects, and Detail Engineering Consultants to ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies for new technologies, equipment, and process packages.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop equipment manufacturers, contractors, and engineering service providers.
• Review P&IDs, General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), equipment layouts, isometric drawings, and detailed engineering documents. Coordinate with the Procurement team for technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, and procurement of engineering equipment and materials.
• Prepare Technical Bid Analysis (TBA) and recommend suitable technologies, suppliers, and equipment based on technical and commercial evaluations.

Experience:

12-15 years in end-to-end Project Management, Detail Engineering & Project Construction
