Job summary

Sigma Allied Services is seeking a senior ServiceNow SOMT architect to design end-to-end telecom SOMT architectures for remote delivery. You will define Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Fulfillment, Provisioning, Billing and Closure processes, plus MACD lifecycle patterns.

The role requires deep knowledge of SOMT, SPM and integrations with CRM, CPQ, ERP and ERP-like systems, along with strong stakeholder communication and presales experience. This is a remote position with 10am-7pm shift.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT/solution architecture experience.
• Hands-on ServiceNow SOMT experience.
• Design telecom Quote-to-Order and Order-to-Fulfillment solutions.
• MACD processes and lifecycle management experience.
• ServiceNow SPM experience including Projects and Epics.
• Know when to use standard SOMT/SPM functionality vs custom development.

Title: ServiceNow SOMT architecture

Location: Remote

Shift: 10am-7 Pm

Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities

1. Telecom SOMT Architecture

• Design end-to-end ServiceNow SOMT architecture for telecom/fiber services.
• Design Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Fulfillment, Provisioning, Billing, and Closure processes.
• Design New Order and MACD (Move, Add, Change, Disconnect) lifecycle processes.
• Define Product, Service, and Resource relationships across the telecom service lifecycle.
• Design reusable and scalable telecom fulfillment patterns.
• Define integrations with external systems such as CRM, CPQ, Billing, Inventory, Network/OSS, and ERP.

2. ServiceNow SPM Experience

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities and how they can complement SOMT.
• Design solutions using SPM Project/Project Portfolio Management capabilities for telecom implementation and delivery initiatives.
• Experience with Project Charters, Projects, Tasks, Dependencies, Milestones, Planned vs. Actual Dates, and Project Status Tracking.
• Ability to leverage SPM Epics and related functionality to manage business initiatives and delivery requirements.
• Define the appropriate boundary between standard SPM capabilities and SOMT/custom extensions.
• Experience integrating or aligning SOMT Order/Service lifecycle processes with SPM project and delivery management.
• Recommend standard ServiceNow capabilities wherever possible while minimizing unnecessary customization.

3. Solution Architecture & Integration

• Create end-to-end solution architecture, functional architecture, and integration designs.
• Define data flows and integrations between SOMT, SPM, CRM, CPQ, Billing, OSS/BSS, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
• Identify gaps between standard ServiceNow capabilities and business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, maintainable, and aligned with ServiceNow best practices.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT/solution architecture experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow, particularly SOMT / Telecom Service Management.
• Proven experience designing telecom/fiber Quote-to-Order and Order-to-Cash/Order-to-Fulfillment solutions.
• Good experience with MACD processes and telecom product/service lifecycle management.
• Practical experience with ServiceNow SPM, including Projects, Project Tasks, Dependencies, Milestones, Epics, and portfolio/project tracking.
• Experience determining when to use standard SPM/SOMT functionality versus custom development.
• Strong experience in ServiceNow integrations and enterprise architecture.

Excellent stakeholder communication and solutioning/presales experience
