Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a ServiceNow DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and automate ServiceNow applications and integrations across development, test, and production environments.

You will implement automated deployment pipelines, optimize CI/CD processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment reliability and security. Familiarity with Integration Hub and ATF is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering.
• Proven ServiceNow development or platform engineering experience.
• Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP APIs, or other web services and Integrations.
• Understanding ITSM processes and deployment across environments.
• Familiarity with Integration Hub and ATF is a plus.

• Manage source control, code promotion, versioning, and deployment activities across development, test, and production environments.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ServiceNow modules, applications, scripts, business rules, and workflows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ServiceNow applications, integrations, deployment pipelines, and related issues.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to improve platform reliability and deployment efficiency.
• Apply DevOps principles and automation practices to improve development lifecycle, release management, and operational processes.
• Ensure ServiceNow solutions and deployment processes follow security, quality, governance, and technical standards.
• Maintain technical documentation covering configurations, integrations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the ServiceNow platform and its development and delivery processes.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, automating, and continuously improving ServiceNow solutions that support the client's business and operational needs. You'll work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to build reliable workflows, integrations, and deployment processes while helping drive DevOps practices across the ServiceNow environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, or platform engineering.
• Experience with ServiceNow development tools, scripting, workflows, and application configuration.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and experience with ServiceNow scripting.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with source control and version management, preferably Git.
• Experience developing and managing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, or other web services and ServiceNow's on integration methods such as Integration Hub.
• Understanding of ServiceNow development lifecycle, release management, and deployment across multiple environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and automated testing is an advantage.
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ServiceNow best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, infrastructure automation, or other modern DevOps technologies is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with distributed and international teams.
