Job summary

Photon is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Business Workflow Automation team in India. You will design and implement service management frameworks, event management workflows, and integrations for On-Cloud and On-Premise platforms, contributing to IT Operations transformation and cost savings.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, write clean code, review work, and help deliver scalable automation solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of ServiceNow development experience.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, workflows, and integrations.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITSM and ITOM processes.
• 2+ years coding ServiceNow features.
• Experience configuring and customizing ServiceNow to meet business needs.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

Desirable Competencies

• 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, workflows, and integrations.
• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes.
• 2+ years of experience coding ServiceNow features or similar platforms.
• Experience in developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements.
• Expertise in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Conducting code reviews and quality control checks to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Debugging and fixing technical issues.
• Producing and executing test cases to ensure software quality.
• Documenting code and application functionality.
• Staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in ServiceNow development.
• ITIL Foundation level knowledge and familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, IT4IT is a plus.
• Experience with Web Services, APIs, and database-level integrations/ETL.
• Proficiency in Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services) and experience working in a SaaS environment.
• Ability to drive design and strategy around automation tools.
• Understanding of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL, and other related technologies.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Information Technology, with proven experience in technical development roles.
