Job summary

Contactx Resource Management in Mumbai, India is seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM expert to design, implement and optimize ITOM modules such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management and CMDB. You will configure MID Servers, integrate with monitoring tools, and support ITIL-aligned processes.

The role requires hands-on experience with ITOM components, REST/SOAP integrations, and scripting in JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules.
• Hands-on with: Discovery & Service Mapping.
• CMDB & CSDM model.
• Event Management.
• Knowledge of: REST/SOAP integrations.
• MID Server setup and troubleshooting.
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure preferred).
• Good scripting skills in JavaScript.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules.
• Configure MID Servers, discovery schedules and patterns.
• Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring tools.
• Work on Event Management including alert rules and dashboards.
• Maintain CMDB health through data normalization and reconciliation.
• Manage CI relationships.
• Develop workflows, business rules, and scripts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ITOM issues.
• Collaborate with ITSM, SecOps and DevOps; participate in upgrades.

Job description

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules including:
• Discovery
• Service Mapping
• Event Management
• Orchestration
• CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
• Configure and maintain MID Servers, Discovery schedules, and patterns.
• Implement and manage Service Mapping for business services and applications.
• Integrate ServiceNow with third-party monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Work on Event Management including alert correlation, event rules, and dashboards.
• Ensure CMDB health by managing:
• Data normalization
• Data reconciliation
• CI relationships
• Develop workflows, business rules, and scripts using:
• JavaScript
• Glide APIs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ITOM modules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ITSM, SecOps, DevOps).
• Participate in upgrades, patching, and platform enhancements.
