SwaaS in Chennai is seeking a ServiceNow - Configuration Management Consultant with 6+ years of experience to lead governance and continual CMDB improvement on-site in Guindy, Chennai.

The role focuses on data quality, CI lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration with IT Ops, Infra, and Enterprise Architecture to strengthen configuration data for impact analysis and service visibility.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Configuration Management and ServiceNow CMDB.
• Experience leading governance, operation, and continual improvement of CMDB.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support governance, operation, and continual improvement of Configuration Management and ServiceNow CMDB across the enterprise.
• Drive CMDB data quality, remediation, CI lifecycle management, ownership, relationships, and governance to improve the accuracy and reliability of configuration information.
• Support ServiceNow CMDB Health and CSDM adoption, including service modelling, CI relationships, identification, reconciliation, and authoritative data-source governance.
• Collaborate with Service Owners, Application Owners, CI Owners, IT Operations, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Asset Management, Cybersecurity, and project teams to resolve configuration and data-quality issues.
• Translate business and process requirements into actionable ownership models, remediation plans, governance processes, and service-modelling activities through workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Enable effective impact analysis, change risk assessment, incident/problem management, service visibility, audit evidence, and operational decision-making through reliable configuration data.
• Analyze CMDB and governance reports to identify data-quality trends, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities, and coordinate remediation activities across global, multi-region teams.
• Prepare and maintain governance reports, process documentation, audit/compliance evidence, and management updates, leveraging strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
